7 machines.
Disclaimer: Taylor Derr would be a really great roommate and it would be a total dream come true if our beds were the same size.
So.. on move in day, back on 8/16/10, there were these pictures hanging around Reid of our "future workout room." Gosh, that made for a dorm full of excited girls! Well, 6ish months later we have inspirational razorback walls, tinted windows, a big mirror, and seven workout machines!
As I was walking back to Reid with a few friends, I paused and gawked at some handle bars that I could see through the windows. I knew they belonged to something that makes you sweat. I mean, literally stopped walking and pointed in the way a mother would be ashamed. As in.. if my arm had been a blade, I would have decapitated my two friends. After a few "Jill, what the heck!?" "Ugh.. what!?" remarks they finally followed my gaze and rested their eyes upon those mysterious handle bars. They knew, too. So Annie decides to let out a nice, loud scream. Like.. as in someone has just popped out of the bushes with a chainsaw type scream, and proceeds to run into Reid toward the workout room.
Another surprise! There is a door to the room now! There wasn't before. Unfortunately, there is a sign on the door that says "Not done. Don't even try to enter." At least that's the jist of it.
Then we explore the new lil' kitchen. There's a new door from the kitchen (aka stove) to the "play room." It's really fancy (the door, I mean), like.. Maple Hill fancy. Requires a FOB fancy. So we try to FOB in. Fail.
Way to be a tease, Reid.

this is what dreams are made of.
Such strange dreams lately.
I'm really not the type to think about/remember my dreams, but lately I have been.. I found this one especially entertaining for some reason:
Taylor Derr and I, (only she didn't have red hair so how can I be sure it was her!?) were at some place watching people in the most normal way possible. If I had to guess I'd say it was a small, local concert or something. After it was over, we were immediately just walking down this sketch hallway to an apartment/dorm room or something that we lived in. (Roommates= Nightmare.) Anyway, we were walking in to our lil' place saying we wished we were as cool as those people. So, naturally, I sit down at my computer and google/facebook something about being cooler, and the not red-head Taylor Derr of my dream goes "I'm cool now.. My name is Natalie Freakin' Portman."

really, arkansas?
First, I knew Thursday was going to be a good day when I was walking with my iPod, (which I never do, honestly.. 2nd time ever), and Celine Dion came on. I mean, life is good when she's singing "That's The Way It Is." It was a great day.
Also: We had a FOAM function. Just.. imagine. Two sororities, one fraternity, and foam coming from the ceiling. That's all the description you need.
Now Friday, I knew it was going to be an interesting day when I woke up to a few "sorry for partying texts." (Really.. that's all they said.) It was an interesting day.. I was completely delirious with only 10ish hours of sleep in two days. So anyway, after a 3 hour nap that afternoon I was thoroughly confused about what day it was, and was left to decide what I would do with the rest of the night. So many options, but I decided to go to the last home gymnastics meet. (I'm obsessed and it's terrible because I don't even know a gymnast.) Anyway, it was about 6:45 and Catherine and I decided yes to the gymnastics meet, so we debated walking or driving. We decided to walk. When we got to the lobby a few girls were like "Ah, it's pouring outside, ahhh!" It wasn't.. I mean really, like.. no rain. So we're like.. HA! Typical sorority girls.. anyway, we're walking on this sidewalk that basically has nothing around it but trees, and it's lightening a whole lot. I think I said something about how awesome thunder is. (I missed it, it seems like I haven't heard it in Arkansas except for the past two weeks..) This is where the "really, Arkansas?" comes in. Let me tell you about this weather: it keeps you on your toes. As in: blizzard to 60 degrees, to rain and tornado warnings, to earthquakes, to 65 degrees to MONSOON. We're walking, and all of a sudden there is the scariest flash of lightening I have ever witnessed, so of course I just go "Wow.. ahaha." But I hear this loud shriek, as in like.. someone is grabbing you and dragging you to the pits of doom or something equally as terrifying.. and I look over at Catherine like "what the heck is the matter with you? It was scary, but not THAT scary, dang embarrassing!" That's when this random girl comes out of NOWHERE behind us and is like "Sorry, that seriously just scared the s*** out of me!" and kept walking past us. I could not figure out what she was talking about because I was too busy thinking of all the ways I could be struck by lightening and where the world she came from. Anyway, all of a sudden it starts pouring.. I'm talking more than cats and dogs.. I'm talking like.. elephants and giant squids or something like that! Luckily we're in the pit so I'm all like "Haha.. It's okay, we'll just drive my car!!!!" Too bad I have no idea where I parked, so we wander around for a good 5 minutes in a parking lot that is half empty. I hate that because I'm always the person who is like "How do you not remember where you parked, ugh!" Nice, Jill. Anyway, we finally find it and get in the car soaking wet. That's when I find out that random girl is the one who screamed for her life and that gets me a good 5 minutes of painful laughter.
Then we went to the gymnastics meet, had an awkward run-in with one of the mascots, and tried to air dry kind of only not at all. But those gymbacks won, so worth it.
That's really all I got.

Tuhdae:
Today my future roomie and I decided to be roomies. It's official because we pinky swore and side hugged while sitting down. BIG DEAL. Then, we decided to walk to the Greek Theater to hangout for a little while. On our way there, we realized we were basically the equivalent of celebrities to a large group of elementary school kids visiting UARK for a field trip. This continued while they ate their lunch and we hungout in the GT. (Greek Theater, duh.) Ego booster. I was definitely confident the rest of the day!
Tonight I went and saw "Beware of Christians" with a few.. christians. We had a great time telling awful jokes on the way there (not religious), then had a really great time walking through the union telling everyone to "BEWARE! ..There are christians!" Anyway, it was really good and definitely an eye-opener. Don't worry, I have a DVD of it and I'm pretty sure I stole it, what?! Just kidding. Apparently they email us and we pay later.. something about Arkansas being great and not allowing anyone to charge us cashmoney. Dang you, internet. You make everything possible. (I'm kidding.. I'll pay!)
I did this today:
Better be ready for THAT to arrive in the mail. It's the new thang I do.. I just decided.

a lilbit diff!
I'm terrible at keeping up, so this calls for change.
Something I've been trying to do since the beginning of the year is write down what makes me smile every day, (aka something ridiculous I've witnessed, experienced, or was told about..) It doesn't sound hard.. lots of things make me smile.. but it's so hard to remember! Anyway, I've got the ones 1/1/11-2/27/11 in a lil' notebook, so here's 2/28/11:
-Today, I had to go spend $30 on food. Sounds like a perfectly enjoyable experience, only it wasn't. Since I am a really smart girl who remembers everything, I forgot I was supposed to go to the Lady Razorback Basketball game yesterday, after all.. I AM a "Lenora." Instead, I took what I thought was my completely unplanned day and went to the ranch. Except for too bad the game was on my calendar for a month ("W. BBALL - 2"). Too bad I planned my entire weekend with my Mom around that dang game. Too bad I made plans to walk to the game with friends the day before. Too bad I chose to go to a place 45 minutes away. Too bad that place has absolutely no cell phone service. (I take that part back.. PTL it has no cell service!) So anyway, in order to get off bad standing with KD and go to our function on Thursday. Our function with XO. Our first function with XO in years. The function that my roommate, neighbors, and friends are in.. So, I just had to go spend those $30. What has sorority life done to me!?
It's okay though.. The food is going toward a good cause, right?

(The MOMENT IN THE LIFE OF.. will be back whenever I can remember to put them on here......)
